Our Story

Discover peony, the swimwear and resortwear brand named after the bloom that signals the beginning of summer. A life-long love affair with the ocean gave peony its authenticity and purpose. All pieces are designed at peony House, the brand’s beloved design studio by the sea in Australia.

Created in-house exclusively, textile prints begin as hand sketches and custom fabrics are designed from the yarn, allowing every piece to be the purest expression of the brand’s distinct handwriting. Looking to the past for inspiration, and to the future for innovation in sustainability, peony is committed to consciously creating beautiful pieces that instil freedom, transcend seasons and stand the test of time. A sense of timelessness exists within each collection, allowing pieces to become treasured mementos of summers gone by and to come.

All peony materials are carefully chosen with intention and care. For swimwear, 100% of fabrics are made from recycled content. Uniquely to peony this includes all printed fabrics, custom textures and inner linings. This is the peony standard and has been since 2019. With its eco-pioneering efforts and innate charm, peony has been featured in publications such as Forbes and Vogue, and is recognised as a global leader in sustainable swimwear.

peony is available in select retail partners globally, including NET-A-PORTER, Harrods, Saks Fifth Avenue, Selfridges and Browns.

How to measure

Bust Circumference

Thread tape measure under your arms, around your back and across the fullest part of your bust. Once you have the tape measure lined up, relax your arms at either side

Waist Circumference

Your natural waistline is the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button and below your rib cage. Run the tape measure around your waist (like a belt), keeping it straight.

Lower Hip

Stand on a level surface with your feet together. Measure the fullest part of your bottom and upper thighs, not around your hip bones. Ensure the tape is straight around your body.

Helpful Tips

If you don't have a measuring tape, you can use a piece of string and then measure the string length with a ruler. Tape should be horizontal all around, and fit close to the body. These are tips to measure your body, not the garment.
