We believe good design is honest, innovative, durable and sustainable. It is thoughtfully considered, never wavering from core values, always staying true to vision. Every peony piece is designed at our design studio peony House, in Burleigh Heads, Australia. Our founding design principles remain true today - we aim to instil a sense of freedom, by creating interconnected textiles, colours and styles that can be mixed and matched to suit you, and carried from one season to the next.

Our pieces are created with quality and durability front of mind. We believe in building a circular fashion system, where products and materials are selected for their longevity, responsibility and above all quality in order to be worn for longer, re-used and re-circulated for as long as possible. We source the highest quality fabrics and use construction techniques that extend the life of each garment. Each piece is crafted from considered materials and made to last. Our custom fabrics, in-house created prints and detailed finishes celebrate originality, craftsmanship and quality.

All peony textile prints are created in-house exclusively, by hand, with great love and attention to detail. Our signature watercolour floral prints are hand-painted using watercolour paints. With many elements in balance, this process takes time and ensures every peony piece is truly original and in the distinct handwriting that has become synonymous with the brand.

Looking to the past for inspiration and to the future for innovation in sustainability, we aim to create pieces that transcend seasons. Through our prints and colours, we ensure each collection talks back to the previous and threads into the next, encouraging you to breathe new life into peony pieces already in your wardrobe. This is a founding principle that sets our design process in motion.
